Kayak & Hiking at Agios Achilios island

A different tour of the most famous attraction of the Prespa National Park, the picturesque islet of Agios Achillios.

We start from the parking lot of Agios Achillios and with the kayaks, we will cross across, as it was done before the installation of the floating pedestrian bridge. After 20 minutes we will reach the small pier of the island, from where we will start our tour of the island.

Agios Achillios is a small island in the heart of the wetland in Mikri Prespa. It is connected to the mainland via a 600m long floating footbridge. Going around the island, we will admire the incomparable natural beauty, we will visit the ruins of the Royal church built by Samuel II, the “Tsar of the Bulgarians”, the 10 Churches that are scattered around and we will learn about the ancient city of Lyka and the myth of the island.

This is an easy hike since it is done on soft sloping terrain, on the innumerable marked paths.
